‘O’ Ring Leak Detector (OLD) –

The electronically controlled valve seal tester VST (for center valves only) is an independent unit designed for in-line installation in a chain conveyor. The VST is fully automatic. The test head simulates the end-user regulator, so the unit performs a tightness test of the regulator connection to the cylinder valve (the situation when the cylinder is in use at the end-user).

The tightness test identifies any valve/seal defects with Megawork unique pressure test head and pressure sensor. A leak rate will result in a pressure change. The pressure sensor detects small changes of pressure (rise or drop) in the test head. This change is compared to a preset permitted maximum pressure change. This comparison decides whether the cylinder can be approved or rejected. The pressure test is possible even if the cylinder does not contain gas.
