Electronic Leak Detector (ELD) –

The electronically controlled valve leak detector VLD is an independent unit designed for in-line installation in a chain conveyor. This VLD is fully automatic and equipped with an infrared based hydrocarbon detection sensor.

The test head performs a leak test (identifies the actual leakage) on the cylinder valve and valve thread with infrared based hydrocarbon detection sensor. The test result is compared to a preset permitted maximum leakage according to applicable norm/legislation. This comparison decides whether the cylinder can be passed or rejected. The leak test is only possible if the cylinder contains gas.
